Banzai Restaurant

Banzai serves good quality, freshly made food. When we arrived, so did 5 other people. The staff worked promptly to take the new orders as well as process the orders already placed. There were limited staff members working in the kitchen, but they were still able to get everyone served in a timely manner. The food was fresh and delicious. The flavours and food quality was great.

This is one of the better quick service Japanese restaurants in town. Their menu offers enough variety from sushi rolls to rice bowls and udonThey also offer bento boxes at pretty good values. Food service is relatively prompt, portions are adequate and quality is satisfactory. I recommend trying their Sesame Sauce which I find quite nice.

Banzai is a restaurant recommend by my friend for having some of the best teriyaki chicken in Edmonton. I tried to the Original Teriyaki Chicken and it indeed was very well done. Chicken was savoury and delicious. I came back today to have another meal and tried the Creamy Sesame Beef and the Alaskan Roll. The Beef was good, a bit off on presentation but still delicious. The sushi wasn’t the greatest with too much rice to fish ratio. The positive is that the sushi rice to vinegar was on point. Overall it’s a good place for the meals, so-so for the sushi.

First time to this little gem of a place and the food was fantastic. Lots of choices and the food was fresh and very tasty. The guy at the front counter which I suspect was the owner was very friendly and seemed to know some of the customers that came in on a first name basis. Highly recommend the salmon rice bowl and the chicken and beef box... yum!

Their bento boxes are pretty great !! Sushi is ok.

I’ve been a customer for years and the food has always stayed consistent in a good way. I would much rather eat here than their close competitor, Tokyo Express. My only concern is that I hope they keep their prices competitive as it seem the margin of quality and price is slowly coming close.

If you're in the mood for Asian food but don't have a lot of time, this is your place. Crazy fast service and really good food for the value. I've been there many times and will be going back again soon.

I have been going here for almost 15 years now. Nothing has changed and I love it. Highly recommend the Bento Box Chicken and Beef and a side of Alaskan Rolls. So so so good. Thank you for not making any changes.

Good sushi/Japanese place southside. Nothing amazing and on par with a Tokyo express but better. Bigger servings, easier to get into and food has more flavour. Get the supersize option if you want left overs with your meal. Great owners and staff, friendly and clean place.

Staff is friendly and courteous even we order and dine in there 30mins to closing, there food is tasty yet didn’t got the real umami flavours, there price is cheap and they got big serving as well.

This place is always great, the atmosphere is nice, the food is good, and the people are always friendly.

Honestly, I didn't expect much from it but it really wasn't bad. Sesame Beef Rice Bowl: the rice was hearty and covered with a generous amount of marinated beef. The sesame taste wasn't strong despite the name but I prefer it that way. There's a little station on the side to grab utensils and refill water yourselves.

Good service, value, food. Loved miso soup, nice casual atmosphere.

The food is tasty and portions of bento boxes is good. My boys love sashimi and they enjoyed the food as well. Prices for more fried food are good. Fresh fish prices are a bit higher than I was expecting. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

I love banzai. The service is quick and efficient, but the food is the standout. It's SO GOOD. Every time I get a rice bowl from them, I'm shocked at how little I paid for so much good food. I highly recommend the creamy beef bowl with extra sauce. Yum!

Reasonable prices, The service is fast and so is the food. Would recommend for a quick bite, much better for you dollar, than going to the local big name fast food restaurants.

Been coming here for the past 10 years, figured it was time to give it some props. The food is excellent. Perfect for lunch and it is prepared fast. The bento boxes are a quick go to, and the bowls are easy to take out.

This is a great place to grab a quick bite, like lunch or supper. They serve sushi, beef bowls (gyudon), and bento boxes. The service is quick, prices are good, and the serving sizes generous. The only knock IMHO on Banzai is that there is only one location in Edmonton.
